OUR STORY

Kirsikka Jewelry was first established March 2011 in Gainesville, Florida. Due to our growing success and high customer demand, the store was relocated in April 2015.

Kirsikka Jewelry's owner, Alexis Hytonen, was born in the Canary Islands, Spain to his Peruvian mother and Finnish father.

Co-owner, Alan Hytonen, was born in St. Thomas, USVI. Alexis and Alan spent the first 15 years of their lives with mom, "Techi" and dad, "Paul" on their sailboat "Kirsikka", after which the business was named. They traveled across the Atlantic, eventually settling in the islands of the Caribbean.

For the past 17 years Alexis has been involved in the fine jewelry industry, from manufacturing and wholesaling to retail and management. He left his corporate job at Sears Holdings to pursue his dream of running his own jewelry store.

His brother Alan is an F/A-18 fighter pilot, has been in the US Navy for the past 17 years, and is co-owner of Kirsikka Jewelry.
